CONSENT AGENDA

BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:

This contract allows the Behavioral Health Department the utilization of Short Term Crisis Residential Programs at Interim, Inc. on an as needed basis. The Interim organization is well known throughout Monterey County and the central coast. Their experience in facility operation throughout the area span a spectrum of levels of care. Facilities operated by the Interim organization serve clients requiring short term crisis residential care structured with support for daily living skills, personal hygiene, individual counseling, group counseling, medication support and rehabilitation groups. Some adult Behavioral Health Department clients may require short term crisis residential care as part of their ongoing treatment plan. Our County does not have this type of service available in our local community, but Interim offers services close to our community, based in Monterey County. By history the Behavioral Health Department utilizes multiple similar contract service providers for these various levels of care to allow for the best opportunities to access open beds.
