CONSENT AGENDA
BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
This organization assists our County and other counties throughout the State to meet the State Dept. of Health Care Services (DHCS), Mental Health requirements for completion of the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) plans, annual renewals, other grant applications and special project evaluations and data collection and analysis components. The contractor also provides assistance with State Requirements compliance with Mental Health and Substance Abuse Program Quality Improvement projects, Medi-Cal Programs Compliance, Cultural Competency requirements, required data collection/analysis, and other projects related to State mandated requirements. This provider also has the expertise to assist with Fed. and State required Managed Care Performance Improvement studies. The State DHCS requires all counties to produce complex data studies that will meet the requirements for MHSA and Medi-Cal Managed Care reporting of Performance Outcome Measures.
This contract also provides the BH Dept. access to a multi- county collaboration for a subscription to “Relias” on-line learning resources. The BH Dept. accesses Continuing Education resources at a reduced subscription rate with this resource. The organization is also our principal grant writer and has provided grant required evaluation data collection and reporting for our grant projects. Grant funding pays for the contractor’s involvement in fulfilling grant evaluation obligations. This organization is recognized statewide and nationally for the expertise they possess in the processing and analysis of statistical information utilized in the production of performance outcome studies and they have experience in the successful application and implementation of grant funded and other special projects. The cost for this contract is offset through grant funding and Medi-Cal reimbursement that we claim to offset 50% of the cost of all Quality Improvement functions this organization provides.
