Accept $750,000.00 Grant from the State of California for the Riverview Regional Park Accessibility Project and adopt Board Resolution delegating authority to the County Budget Officer to conduct all negotiations, sign and submit all documents, including, but not limited to applications, agreements, amendments, and payment requests, which may be necessary for the completion of the project scope.

BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
This specified grant originated from a line item in the State of California Budget for fiscal year 2021-22. A resolution is required before a CONTRACT will be issued. The GRANT PERFORMANCE PERIOD is July 1, 2021 – June 30, 2024.
The mission of the Office of Grants and Local Services is to address California’s diverse recreational, cultural and historical resource needs by developing grant programs, administering funds, offering technical assistance, building partnerships and providing leadership through quality customer service.
Based on previous discussions with the state, this item was placed on the May 24th Board of Supervisor meeting agenda.
However, the County was notified on May 9, 2022 that an Authorizing Resolution must be submitted to the Office of Grants and Local Services by May 11, 2022 so that grant funds can be encumbered for the project.
