BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
California Children's Services (CCS) is a statewide mandated program that provides diagnostic and treatment services, medical case management, and physical and occupational therapy services to children under age 21 with CCS-eligible medical conditions. A CCS approved physician is required for the management of the child's therapy needs and prescriptions in conjunction with the OT and PT evaluations. OT and/or PT is approved and prescribed by the physician and are provided at the MTU. The physician makes the final determination of the child's Medical Therapy Conference (MTC) plan of care. David Robert Godley, MD is a CCS paneled physician located in Salinas who provides CCS services to MTU's in the Central Coast Region.
The Medical Therapy Program (MTP) is a special program within CCS that includes Occupational Therapy (OT) and Physical Therapy (PT) for children with eligible conditions. Therapy services are provided at rehabilitation units located in public schools. These units are called "Medical Therapy Units" (MTU). San Benito County's MTU is located at R.O. Hardin Elementary School.
Dr. Godley's contract will not involve a monetary sum, as he will bill the State of California's, CCS Program for reimbursement.

CONTRACT AND RFP HISTORY:
The Agency has contracted with David Robert Godley M.D. since February 18, 2020, through June 30, 2021, and then for a second contract from July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022.
The Contractor has billed the services to the State of California for all services rendered to the California Children's Services Program. The compensation includes any and all reimbursements due to the contractor for duties performed pursuant to the agreements with County, including reimbursements for materials needed to perform services.
