BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:

The County is acquiring right-of-way and temporary construction easements for purposes of construction of the Rosa Morada Bridge.  The County negotiated the purchase of real property on a parcel owned by Steven G. Leonard and Jeanette Bilardi-Leonard, husband and wife, as joint tenants (APN 017-130-078).  Resolution No. 2022-61, approving a right of way agreement and accepting a grant deed for right of way purposes for the Rosa Morada Bridge project from Steven G. Leonard and Jeanette Bilardi-Leonard is presented for the Board's consideration.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

1.  Adopt Resolution 2022-61 approving a right of way agreement and accepting the grant deeds for right of way purposes for the Rosa Morada Bridge project from Steven G. Leonard and Jeanette Bilardi-Leonard, and authorizing payment of $2,500.00 for the purchase of real property, and

 

2.  Authorize the Board Chair to sign the Resolution and the Certificates of Acceptance and Consent to Record, allowing recordation of the Grant Deed.

 

3.  Authorize and direct the Interim Resource Management Agency Director to execute escrow closing documents and transmit the fully executed grant deed to the assigned Escrow Officer who will facilitate recording of the deed to San Benito County Recorder’s Office.
