BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
Since January 2010, the County Health & Human Services Agency (HHSA) has been contracting with Gavilan College CalWORK's program to provide educational services to CalWORK's participants.
Gavilan CalWORK's provides participants with support services such as registration, identifying barriers to successful attainment of academic goals, scheduling participants for placement in testing, assisting with participant's academic and vocational goals by providing tutorial services, EOPS, CARE, internships, work study, career exploration, placement, and personal counseling services.
This contract also provides for the payment of work study wages through the CalWORK's Expanded Subsidized Employment program.
