PUBLIC HEARING - Top

BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:

On July 8, 2014, the Board of Supervisors adopted a Water Conservation Ordinance 927. The Board of Supervisors adopted an additional Water Conservation Ordinance 970 on April 17, 2018, and another Water Conservation Ordinance 980 on April 2, 2019 which amended Ordinance 927 for County Service Area No. 31, and annually or more often thereafter.

Due to the limited allocation of State Water Project Water from the San Benito County Water District, the Board is asked to adopt an ordinance to establish mandatory reduced water allocations for the 2022-2023 water year (March 1, 2022 - February 28, 2023). This proposed ordinance is intended to set new allocations for the new water year/
