RESOURCE MANAGEMENT AGENCY – M. CHAMBLESS
Adopt revised resolution of San Benito County Resource Management Agency authorizing the application and acceptance of grant funds for the non-traditional Section 6 (FY 2021) San Benito County Conservation Plan.
SBC FILE NUMBER: 790
RESOLUTION NO: 2022-16
AGENDA SECTION:
CONSENT AGENDA
BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
This resolution was brought to the Board on February 23, 2021, and was approved by the Board at that time. Since then the County was awarded the grant, and has been in the process of completing all paperwork necessary to receive the grant funds. However, at the time of application it was not clear to the County that although the grant was a Federal grant application through United States Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), the grant funds get funneled through California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) to the local jurisdictions. So the resolution needed to state this. In addition, CDFW advised not to include specific RMA Directors names, and only title. In all essence the resolution is stating the same directives, and is modified language so CDFW can finish executing the grant payable.
