BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
The Elections Department seeks approval for the leasing and servicing of a 2022 RAM ProMaster 1500 Delivery Van for delivery of heavy election equipment, ballot drop box pickup, and in-person visits to correct mail ballot discrepancies.
The County Enterprise Fleet Management Auto Lease Program permits use of more reliable vehicles that can be used over time in a more maintenance and cost efficient manner then purchasing vehicles.
The Elections Department seeks approval for its addition to the San Benito County existing Enterprise Fleet Management Auto lease for an added one (1) Elections Department vehicle to the lease agreement in the amount of $925.59 per month for the term of five years, or (60) months.
The Elections Department has existing FY 2020-21 approved budget allocated for purchase of a new vehicle that has not been purchased and those funds will be utilized to offset the Elections Departments share of the lease agreement costs to sustain the proposed vehicle addition that will be added to the lease agreement.
