BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
Hearing to review proposed amendment options to the Home Occupation and Rural Home Enterprise San Benito County Code per direction given to staff. On the September 28, 2021, Board of Supervisors meeting, the Board requested to include allowing limited retail under Home Occupation, code enforcement, business license requirements, and adding cottage food operations in unincorporated San Benito County. These amendments were brought to the December 15, 2021 Board of Supervisors meeting and the Board provided additional direction to staff to bring back additional options to allow limited retail under Home Occupation and to include Environmental Health to provide a presentation on Cottage Food Operation permits.

Staff respectfully recommends that the Board of Supervisors:
1. Receive presentation and consider options for limited retail under Home Occupations and provide staff with direction on option to bring back for adoption;
2. Receive presentation on Environmental Health process on how cottage food operations are permitted and provide staff with direction on option to bring back for adoption.
