BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
The roads and bridges owned by the County are an asset to the community. During recent Board of Supervisor meetings, the Supervisors have requested that the Resource Management Agency (RMA) provide an update regarding the status of this infrastructure.
The goal of the RMA is to maintain and upgrade a safe and efficient road system. We strive to enhance the quality of life in our community and acknowledge that achieving that objective requires diligent efforts and collaboration to cost-effectively utilize the resources available.
There is currently 450 miles of roads and 51 bridges maintained by the County of San Benito County.
Each monthly update will include roadway project status. Bridge updates will be provided on a bi-monthly basis as those projects have a more prolonged schedule due to required environmental analysis and clearances.
The monthly presentation will highlight the following:
1) Completed construction (or pending completion)
2) Programmed construction (to commence in the near future)
3) Projects in preliminary design and being considered for programming (adoption into the forthcoming CIP)
