BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
On June 13, 2017 the County entered into contract with Earth Systems Pacific to provide geotechnical consulting-engineering and environmental services for the County’s Public Works Infrastructure Projects.
On May 5, 2020 the County amended the contract with Earth Systems Pacific to continue providing services for the County’s Public Works Infrastructure Projects.
An amendment for this contract is needed for additional on-call environmental services including the review of studies, testing, assessments, and preparation of reports for the County’s Public Works Infrastructure Projects. Earth Systems Pacific Inc. has been heavily utilized by the County for many of the Federal, State and locally funded road projects and bridge projects within the County limits. Funding sources for requested expenditure increase are cost recoveries from developer reimbursements and roadway systems funding from SB1, Measure G, and Caltrans.

On June 13, 2017 the County entered into contract with Earth Systems Pacific to provide consulting-engineering and environmental services for the County’s Public Works Infrastructure Projects at a cost of $250,000.00.
On May 5, 2020 the County amended the contract with Earth Systems Pacific to provide consulting-engineering and environmental services for the County’s Public Works Infrastructure Projects at a cost of an additional $250,000.00. This first amendment also amended the contract expiration date to be June 13, 2022.
An amendment for this contract is needed for additional on-call environmental services including the review of studies, testing, assessments, and preparation of reports for the County’s Public Works Infrastructure Projects and increasing the compensation amount for an additional $300,000.00 for a total amount not to exceed $800,000.00
