Adopt Governing Body Resolution Authorizing the County Administrator and/or the Emergency Services Manager to execute any actions necessary for the purpose of obtaining and managing federal financial assistance through the California Office of Emergency Services (CalOES) for the purpose of Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act of 1988, and/or state financial aid under the California Disaster Assistance Act.

BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:

This universal resolution is effective for all future disasters up to three (3) years following date of approval.  It allows the named Authorized Agents (CAO and/or Emergency Services Manager) to execute any necessary documents relating to financial assistance when we are faced with a natural or manmade disaster without holding a special meeting to obtain signatures.  The last Designation of Applicant's Agent Resolution was signed in February of 2018 and expired this past February.
