BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
Community Services & Workforce Development (CSWD) requests adoption of a resolution to accept the 2022 CSBG grant in the amount of $275,298.00, approve the grant agreement, and authorize the HHSA Director or Deputy Director to sign the grant agreement and take all actions necessary to administer the grant, including signing any amendments to the grant agreement, and any other documents pertaining to such grant, for and on behalf of the County.
The State Department of Community Services & Development (CSD) has issued a grant agreement in the amount of $275,298.00 for the period of January 1, 2022 to May 31, 2023. CSBG funding will be used to operate anti poverty programs including the Winter Shelter program for homeless families, after school youth services, supportive services for low-income residents and for general operations of other programs in the department.
This grant is incorporated into the fiscal year 2021/2022 budget. There is no match requirement and no impact on the County General Fund.
