BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
The County Recorder's responsibilities involve receiving, recording or filing, indexing, and microfilming or scanning documents as required by law. The office assists members of the public who wish to record documents, need copies or certified copies of documents, or have inquiries concerning recording and filings affecting real property and vital records.
The Recorder Division requests a budget adjustment in the amount of $13,000.00 to cover the unanticipated cost of replacing its 10+ year old copier. The Recorder Division prints an average of 120,000 copies per year.
The purchase will be paid with Recorder revenues, with no impact on the County's discretionary resources in the General Fund.
