BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
The Office of Emergency Services (OES) is seeking approval from the Board to apply for FY2020 CalOES HSGP and EMPG/EMPG-S.
The purpose of the CalOES FEMA grants, including but not limited to, HSGP and EMPG/EMPG-S, is to enhance San Benito County's capabilities and capacities to execute the National Preparedness Mission Areas of emergency management. On behalf of the San Benito County Operational Area, the County Office of Emergency Services is requesting authorization to submit to HSGP and EMPG applications for funding to be determined.
The California's Governor's Office of Emergency Services requires applicants to submit a Governing Body Resolution as part of the application package.
The Governing Body Resolution appoints Authorized Agents (identified by the individual's name or by position title) to act on behalf of the Governing Body and the applicant by executing any actions necessary for each application and sub-award.
The Application Checklists requires all applicants to submit of copy of their FY2020 Governing Body Resolution with the application.

It is respectfully recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
