General Plan Annual Progress Report:  PRESENTATION:  Government Code Section 65400 and 65700 mandates that all cities and counties submit an annual report on the status of the General Plan and progress in its implementation to their legislative bodies, the Governor’s Office of Planning and Research (OPR) and the Housing and Community Development (HCD) by April 1 of each year. This is to report what was accomplished within the calendar year of 2019 of the County’s progress and implementation of the 2035 San Benito County General Plan. As required by State law, an annual report must be submitted to the Governor’s Office of Planning and Research (OPR), identifying the progress made with the General Plan implementation.

The 2019 General Plan Annual Progress Report (APR) identifies the actions undertaken by San Benito County in the previous calendar year to carry out the 2035 General Plan’s implementation programs.

Staff requests the Planning Commission to accept the 2019 General Plan Annual Progress Report, and to recommend taking to the Board of Supervisors for approval, after which will be submitted to the Office of Planning and Research. Staff is additionally seeking directional support to accomplish the General Plan program goals and specific updates.
