Approve renewal of contract with Cielo House, Residential Treatment Facility for the term of July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021 for a maximum amount of $100,000.00.

Behavioral Health clients can require licensed residential treatment facility placement in very specific specialty treatment settings such as Cielo House, which offers treatment in a licensed residential care setting for Eating Disorders.

This particular placement can provide clients a high degree of staff support that includes implementing a treatment plan focused on assisting the client to develop skills to ameliorate or eliminate the symptoms of eating disorders.  

The diagnoses for Eating Disorders are commonly identified as Anorexia, or Bulimia and can entail binge eating, purging

and/or restriction of normal amounts of food intake that can sometimes advance to levels that threaten health and wellbeing.

As such these particular mental health diagnoses are included on the list of mental health diagnoses that meet the medically necessary levels mandated by the Dept. of Health Care Services for the provision of mental health treatment required to be provided by the Behavioral Health Department.

1) Approve the contract with Cielo House licensed Residential Treatment for a maximum amount of $100,000 for the term of FY 20-21 and;

2) Authorize the Board Chair to sign said contract.
