BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:

The action, Preserve Our Rural Communities v. County of San Benito et al San Benito County Superior Court Case No. CU-20-0053, was filed on April 22, 2020. The Court entered a temporary restraining order on May 5, 2020, and after a hearing on a preliminary injunction on May 19, 2020, entered an order granting the preliminary injunction staying the effective date of Ordinance No. 1008 on May 26, 2020. The County Public Health Officer issued guidance on election petition signature gathering on June 3, 2020.
