RESOURCE MANGEMENT AGENCY – H. MAVROGENES

Adopt the plans and specifications for the Measure G PWB-2013 Southside Road – 5000 Block; find the project is categorically exempt under CEQA Guidelines Sections 15301 and 15302; and authorize the advertisement for bids.

This project is funded by the Measure G Fund, and is part of the County's Quick Start Road Improvement Projects.  The project reach limits contain two locations with roadway and shoulder embankment failures to be addressed immediately.  Retaining wall structures are to be constructed at these two locations.  The Engineer’s Estimate for this project is $2,619,000.  Construction is to begin in August and to last three months. This project will be brought back to the Board of Supervisors for award of a contract on August 4, 2020.

Staff respectfully recommends that the Board:

1. Adopt the plans and specifications for the Measure G PWB-2013 Southside Road – 5000 Block;

2. Find the project is categorically exempt under CEQA Guidelines Sections 15301 and 15302; and

3. Authorize the advertisement for bids.
