Through the Corona-virus Relief Fund, $150 billion nationally were allocated to Corona-virus Relief Fund.

San Benito County's share is $6,428,000 to be spent on necessary expenditures incurred due to the public health emergency.

The CARES Act requires that the payments from the Corona-virus Relief Fund only be used to cover expenses that—
(1) are necessary expenditures incurred due to the public health emergency with respect to the Corona-virus Disease 2019 (COVID–19);
(2) were not accounted for in the budget most recently approved as of March 27, 2020 (the date of enactment of the CARES Act) for the State or government; and
(3) were incurred during the period that begins on March 1, 2020, and ends on December 30, 2020.

County Administration will carefully and strategically match the various COVID-19 related costs with multiple funding sources to maximize the various outside funding sources and the net local coat impact.

Delegate authority to County Administrative Officer and or designee to plan and allocate funding following the CARES Act restrictions. With guidance from the board of supervisor's ad-hoc on the road-map to recovery advisory for COVID-19.
