BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
On March 10, 2020, the Board approved two contracts with Dishnet Direct Inc. dba DAS Systems, one to provide professional services to design a fully functional ERRCS, utilizing BDA, coax backbone, in-property antennas, rooftop donor antennas, passive equipment and 24-hour battery backup, and a second construction contract for the installation work. The RMA desires to extend the contract for the installation work until June 30, 2021 and to increase the original contract by $60,000.00 for a total sum not to exceed $132,500.00. The order had been placed with the Contractor but there has been a delay in procuring the equipment from the sole source manufacturer overseas. In the interim, local codes have changed resulting in change orders to comply with the codes. The funding will be from the Jail/Juvenile Hall Impact Fees as approved at the Board of Supervisors meeting of 11/5/19.

1. Approve Contract Amendment #1 with Dishnet Direct Inc. dba DAS Systems for installation of an Emergency Responder Radio System at the County Jail, to extend the contract until June 30, 2021 in an amount not to exceed $132,500.00, and authorize the Board Chair to sign it.
