BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
Attached are various reports and statistics related to the activities of the Treasurer/Tax Collector office for fiscal year 2019-2020.
The Treasurer's Office has implemented a new check file transmission to our bank that occurs on a daily basis. This has been very beneficial to our cash flow analysis.
We have also been working on a monthly Portfolio Analysis to be placed monthly as part of the Board of Supervisor's consent agenda. The report includes a letter that summarizes the overall portfolio activity, a detail of various activities, visual presentations of the portfolio and market trends, and a Portfolio Management Summary produced with our investment software. We feel this offers a more transparent view of our office and financial situation to the public.
Included with this presentation are statistics related to our Tax Collector's Office. These statistics include collection and uncollected information for the 2019-2020 tax year.
In the second half of the year, COVID became an issue that impacted both the Treasurer and Tax Collector Office. Summaries of those impacts are included with this presentation.
