BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
On March 6, 2020, in the absence of the Board of Supervisors, the County Administrative Officer proclaimed a local emergency effective immediately based on conditions existing as defined by Government Code 8558, resulting from the novel corona virus. This Proclamation applies to the entire County of San Benito.
Per Ordinance No. 833, the Board of Supervisors must ratify any Proclamation issued by the County Administrative Officer within 7 days.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
The Office of Emergency Services respectfully recommends that the Board of Supervisors make a motion to:
1. Adopt resolution extending the Board of Supervisors' March 10, 2020, Proclamation of the Existence of a Local Emergency for an additional 60 days.
2. Delegate authority to the County Administrative Officer to terminate the local emergency at the earliest possible date that conditions warrant.
