Approve letter of support to the state regarding increased funding for the University of California's Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources (UC ANR) which provides local programming such as 4-H Youth Development through the UC Cooperative Extension (UCCE); and authorize the Chair to sign it on behalf of the Board.

BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:

Over the last two decades, state funding has decreased for the University of California's Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources (UC ANR), which provides local programming through the UC Cooperative Extension (UCCE). This decrease in funding has had implications for the local programming provided through the San Benito County UCCE. A letter of support detailing the need for increased funding for the program has been prepared and, upon approval by the Board of Supervisors, will be submitted to the state.
