BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
Hooper, Lundy & Bookman was previously engaged to provide specialized legal advice in the area of Behavioral Health, specifically with regard to privacy issues involving behavioral health clients, and in representation in the case Disability Rights California v. County of San Benito et.al., U.S. District Court, Northern District of California San Jose Division, Case No. 5:19-cv-01833. Due to the specialized nature of this area of law, it is recommended that Hooper, Lundy & Bookman continue to represent the County.
This contract will provide legal services related to the structured negotiation agreement with Disability Rights Coalition.
The costs of this contract will be paid for by the Behavioral Health Department and will not be a general fund expense.
