Approve contract with HGHB Architecture, Planning and Urban Design for the period of January 14, 2020 through December 31, 2021, in the amount of $68,000.00 for architectural services for the replacement of the existing jail air handling units.

BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
There has been a plan in place to replace the existing air handling units at the existing jail building for some time now. Additionally, the replacement of the units will also address the grand jury report which stated that the units needed to be replaced. The existing jail has a total of five (5) air handling units on the roof and the architect and their consultants’ scope of work will include but not be limited to the preparation of the design documents which will includes specification of the units, the mechanical curb design, any structural requirements and the electrical distribution. Additionally, they will assistant in the bidding and perform the construction administration for the project. The funds for this project will come for the FY 2019/20 capital improvement recommendation schedule.
