BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
This project is funded under the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Emergency Relief, Permanent Restoration to reconstruct roadway embankment damaged from the 2017 winter storms. The preliminary engineering phase of the project is now complete and the project has received, through Caltrans, the required Federal Authorization to Proceed with Construction and to advertise the project.
This project includes the reconstruction of the roadway embankment and the replacement of the pavement on Cienega Road at PM 13.92 and PM 14.08.
The plans and specifications for these projects are now complete and presented for your approval and authorization to advertise for bids. Bids will be due December 19, 2019 at 2:00 PM and are scheduled to come back to the Board for award on January 14, 2020. Construction is to begin in February and to last one month.
