BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
The
County has begun recruiting for a Public Health Officer (PHO) due to the
resignation of the current PHO. Beginning
July 1, 2019 and until a new PHO is hired the County will be contracting PHO
services.
The
attached contract with Dr. Fenstersheib is for July 1 2019 to June 30, 2020, with
a not to exceed amount of $104,000.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
1) It is requested that the Board adopt a resolution appointing Martin Fenstersheib M.D. as Acting County Public Health Officer; and
2) Approve the professional services contract for the period of July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020 and authorize the Chair to sign said contract for services not to exceed $104,000.
