Approve and authorize the Director of Health & Human Services Agency (Agency) to Sign a Three Year Agreement with the Monterey County Department of Social Services for the use of the CHERISH Receiving Center for 23 hour Youth Placement for the period of July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2022, in an amount not to exceed $10,000.00.

BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
Monterey County Department of Social Services (MCDSS), as part of its services to children subjected to abuse and/or neglect, and to assist those children to recover from the trauma experienced by removal form their home, provides placement through a 23-hour Receiving Center (CHERISH). The Agency has a need and desire to continue to utilize available beds and space in CHERISH. MCDSS is willing to make available beds and space accessible to the Agency.
The agreement is from July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2022. Placement charges will be at a rate of $27 per hour, up to 23 hours per child, per incident, with a not to exceed amount of $10,000. This agreement is in incorporated in the FY 2019/2020 budget and has no impact on the county general fund.
