BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
The County Resource Management Agency has received an application, County Planning file PLN180035, for constructing a church sanctuary building with associated parking and related appurtenances on a 3¼-acre property at 1520 Sunnyslope Road (Assessor’s Parcel Number 020-120-140) with existing religious worship facilities. An initial study for review of the project's potential environmental effects will be necessary under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), and the Board of Supervisors is presented with a consultant contract to perform this work under a separate agenda item. In order to fund this review, staff requests that the Board of Supervisors consider a reimbursement agreement between the County and the project applicant to ensure that the County's General Fund is reimbursed for project costs.
