Adopt resolution approving the Operation and maintenance Contract #19-OMS-12694 between the State Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) and the County of San Benito in the amount of $807,772; and authorize the HHSA Interim Director or CSWD Deputy Director to sign said contract and any subsequent amendments to said contract that do not require a budget augmentation.

BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
Staff requests adoption of the attached resolution to accept the Operation and Maintenance Contract Number 19-OMS-12694 and authorization for the Health and Human Services Agency Interim Director or Community Services and Workforce Development Division Deputy Director to sign the contract in the amount of $807,772.
The Office of Migrant Services (OMS) is now awarding 2 year term contracts instead of annual contracts. The State has released the Draft Agreement with instructions to provide the State Office of Migrant Services (OMS) the approved resolution. Once OMS receives the resolution, they will then provide us with the final contract.
The Migrant Center’s mission is to foster and promote safe and affordable housing opportunities for migrant seasonal farm worker families and other community services that will allow families to thrive. The Migrant Center provides seasonal housing services for migrant farm worker families, utilizing 67, 2 and 3 bedroom units at the County’s Southside Road Migrant facilities during the period of May-November. The County has been providing these services to migrant farm workers for over 30 years.
