BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
American Medical Response (AMR) is the 911 contracted ambulance provider for the Exclusive Operating Area (EOA) in San Benito County. The previous agreement was effective October 1, 2014 through June 30, 2019, and includes a provision for a five year extension.
A one year contract extension was recommended at the last Board Meeting; a motion was presented with added verbiage to Section 2.2.C. but AMR ultimately was unable to agree to the added language in its entirety. The contract before the board today includes all of the items in the contract presented at the May 7, 019 meeting plus all but one sentence of the verbiage added during the approval motion. AMR has agreed to this contract and has already signed a copy of it.
The subsidy of $15,000 for the one year extension remains unchanged.
County EMS & AMR will continue to meet on a regular basis to work on a new 5 year contract that will take effect at the conclusion of this proposed extension.
