BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:

At the retreat, the Board discussed various ways to streamline county operations. The changes before the Board today amend the definition of fixed asset (increasing the definition to $5,000), allows the CAO to enter into contracts in an amount not to exceed $50,000, allows department heads to enter contracts in an amount not to exceed $10,000, allows the CAO to approve minor amendments to Board approved contracts, and allows certain contracts to be reviewed by paraprofessional staff.
