BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
The California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) wishes to contract with County of San Benito to perform inspections at certified farmer’s market and production sites for the direct marketing program. These inspections are in addition to the normal activities required under statute. San Benito County has one seasonal certified farmer’s market.
The work is performed by existing staff. The funding is sufficient to cover our costs. The anticipated revenue has been budgeted in the Agricultural Commissioner's Budget for FY 2019/2020.
