BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:

Registered nurses, comprise our nation’s largest healthcare profession in 2019 at 4 million in the US. The benefits that registered nurses provide to our residents are critically important in achieving healthy people in healthy communities. May 8, 2019 is National Nurses’ Day and kicks off National Nurses Week May 6-11, 2019.  The Health and Human Services Agency and Public Health Division in collaboration with the San Benito County Board of Supervisors would like to proclaim National Nurses Week and day in San Benito County and honor the community and public health nurses working for HHSA and Behavioral Health, and throughout the community.
