BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
The Community Services & Workforce Development (CSWD) Division of Health and Human Services has received the NOVA Grant Agreement Modification #2 to include an increase for the Prison to Employment (P2E) Planning grant funds increasing the grant agreement to $131,663. This modification reflects a budget increase of $7,938 and will extend the term of the agreement to December 31, 2019.
The additional grant activities include stakeholder input process to continue the development of a regional comprehensive plan which describes the system and strategies for serving justice-involved individuals; the creation of an request for proposal for Prison to Employment implementation phase; collect and analyze data on justice-involved population in the region; analyze input from stakeholder sessions; map existing resources in the region; develop draft and final versions of a regional plan. The State of California will make additional Prison to Employment funding available for program implementation at or around July or August.
