BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:

The County Resource Management Agency has received an application for an assisted care facility located at 3586 Airline Highway.  An initial study for review of the project's potential environmental effects will be necessary under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), and the Board of Supervisors is presented with a consultant contract to perform this work under a separate April 16 agenda item.  In order to fund this review, staff requests that the Board of Supervisors consider a reimbursement agreement between the County and the project applicant to ensure that the County's General Fund is reimbursed for project costs.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

Approve a reimbursement agreement with John Wynn and Nader Javid for reimbursement to the County of costs including consultant charges for the environmental review under CEQA of the proposed assisted care facility.
