BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
On August 10, 2010, the County entered into a contract with Bengal Engineering to provide engineering services for the Hospital Road Bridge replacement project at a cost of $243,340.29.
On June 19, 2012, the original contract was amended to extend the term of the contract to expire on June 30, 2014.
On February 18, 2014 the contract was amended to modify the scope of work to include preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimate; add $91,676.00 to the contract; and extend the term of the contract to expire on December 31, 2015.
On September 28, 2015 the contract was amended to modify the scope of work to include obtaining environmental permits for this project, add $15,000.00 to the contract, and extend the term of the contract to expire on December 31, 2017.
On December 12, 2017 the term of the contract was extended to expire on June 30, 2018.
On June 12, 2018 the term of the Contract was extended to expire on June 30, 2019. A fifth amendment is necessary to extend the length of the contract to expire on June 30, 2019.
Currently the project is ongoing; therefore a sixth amendment is necessary to extend the length of the contract to expire on June 30, 2021. Amendment number six will also add additional compensation in an amount not to exceed $158,837.00 for additional scope of services.
