BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
The Bay-Peninsula Regional Planning Unit (BPRPU) is comprised of the Workforce Development Boards of NOVA, San Benito, San Francisco, and San Jose-Silicon Valley. The region has secured state funding to meet the local and regional training needs. The MOU was approved by your Board on May 22, 2018. It is the purpose of this MOU to establish an administrative cost arrangement for eligible trainings, including pooling of funds for administrative costs, as appropriate, for the partners. This MOU will establish an agreement between the parties to share the allowable travel costs incurred by the regional partners during the course of their implementation of the Workforce Innovations & Opportunity Act (WIOA) for each area. The amendment reduces the amount to $70,000 as it has been determined this is sufficient amount for the Washington DC travel event this month and all prior reimbursements.
Staff will submit cost reimbursement claims by the new termination date of March 31, 2019 to the City of San Jose Work2future as our regional fiscal lead.
