BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
The Health & Human Services Agency (HHSA) has 5 purchase requisitions for equipment, software and maintenance agreements that require specific approval before purchases are made. The detail of each is as follows:
C-IV Computer Refresh - annual upgrade of 25 computer systems for the Public Assistance Division. State approval document attached. $33,518.25
C-IV Break Fix Inventory - State has approved our request to replenish our inventory of break/fix computer hardware - 7 units for $11,887.00
CalACES Disaster Lap tops - The current inventory of the Disaster lap tops is over 5 years old, out of warrantee and have an operating system that is no longer supported. State is requiring that systems be updated to current operating standards. $4,774.00
H.O.M.E. Resource Center - This purchase is for the computer network equipment needed for the HOME Resource Center to be a functional training center for clients as well as connecting county staff to the county network. $12,632.27
HHSA Expansion - This purchase is for computer and telephone network equipment needed to connect newly acquired office space to the county systems. $30,000 estimated.
These purchases are funded with HHSA budgeted appropriations and have no impact on the county general fund.
