BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
The existing jail has a large grinder installed on the sewer line exiting the facility. Lately, the City has been experiencing large clogs in their line downstream of our facility. The existing grinder has been failing due to age and allowing a large amount of items to pass through, creating these clogs.
If do not address this problem, the County will be financially responsible for clearing these frequent clogs. Multiple quotes were received and this vendor offers the best price. This replacement will be paid from the Building & Grounds Maintenance budget.
