BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
California Welfare and Institutions Code 10601 mandates the County Child Welfare Services perform annual case reviews and quality assurance activities. Counties have the option to contract with the State for the Quality Assurance activities needed to complete the case review process. Health & Human Services has determined that exercising this option is in the best interest of our clients and the county.
The process to exercise the option requires that the County completed and submit a Request for Contract Services form, which in turn will result in a State Contract being issued for Department Head signature.
The funding for the contract will come from the Case Review Allocation of $86,599 each fiscal year. The State contract will be for $21,739 per fiscal year. There is no impact to the County General Fund.
