BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
The 2019 National Association of City and County Health Officials (NACCHO) Preparedness Summit will feature experts from the healthcare, public health and emergency management fields to address the gaps between first responders, organizations and public agencies. The Public Health Emergency Services Specialist will gain skills to work more innovatively, collaboratively and efficiently with partners to prepare for, respond to, and recover from threats such as pandemic diseases, the opioid crisis, active shooter emergencies, and cybersecurity threats.
Costs at state approved rates include travel, 4 nights lodging, food and incidentals for one budgeted staff. Participation in this conference has been approved by California Department of Public Health Emergency Preparedness Office and funded by their Hospital Preparedness Partners grant which was approved and accepted by your board for the 2018-19 fiscal year.
