BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
Strategic planning is about influencing the future rather than simply adapting to it. The development of a strategic plan will serve as a critical guidance tool for San Benito County. The plan will encompass the vision of various stakeholders in one collective system to provide a direct course of action for the County. It will account for our current environment including both external and internal factors and the envision future. Having a strategic plan will serve as the tool to increase effectiveness by having a clear understanding the County’s goals and aligning the tactics to achieve them. The strategies will map the objectives and desired outcomes for the future.
Staff is recommending the consideration of developing a strategic Plan for San Benito County.
