BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
The California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) wishes to contract with County of San Benito to conduct Light Brown Apple Moth (LBAM) regulatory activities to ensure that requirements of the United States Department of Agriculture's Federal Order and the California State Interior Quarantine for LBAM are met. The funding has been increased for FY2018/2019 for the additional workload of performing the 30 day inspections for shippers previously performed by CDFA.
The work is performed by existing staff. The funding is sufficient to cover our costs. The anticipated revenue has been budgeted in the Agricultural Commissioner's Budget for FY 2018/2019.
