BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
The riding mower at the San Benito CountyMigrant Center has not been working since May of this year. The Migrant Center consists of approximately 8 acres with plenty of landscaping within the premise. It takes anywhere from 5-7 days cutting the grass with a push mower and about 6-8 hours with the riding mower. Due to the urgent need and the efficiency of a riding mower, staff has purchased the riding mower and is now requesting to adjust the budget for the payment of the invoice as an asset purchase. Staff have obtained three quotes and the lowest quote is for a John Deere Z920M ZTrak from RDO Equipment Company in Salinas. Staff have obtained appropriate State Office Of Migrant Services approval for expenditure of grant funding for this asset.
The necessary budget adjustment is included for approval. There is no impact to the County General Fund.
