BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
Child Welfare Services (CWS) is mandated by the State to perform case reviews and staff case management evaluations. The State provides an allocation annually for this work. CWS is currently understaffed and therefore unable to perform the necessary case reviews in-house.
The State Continuum of Care Reform (CCR) program requires Child Family Team (CFT) meetings for which facilitation is required. A contractor ideal for this task in efforts to maintain impartiality.
Gloria Valenzuela is a Masters level Social Worker with 11 years of experience in CWS. Ms. Valenzuela is also bi-lingual in Spanish which is a great asset when dealing with some of CWS clientele.
The contract is for two fiscal years starting January 2019 through June 30, 2021. The contract amount is not to exceed the State allocation in any given fiscal year. There is no impact to the County General Fund.
