BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
San Benito County Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) has a contract with the National Council on Crime Delinquency (NCCD) for Internet Access to SafeMeasures® that expired 12/31/18. San Benito County has been utilizing this system for the past 12 years. Safe Measures® is a management tool that integrates with the Child Welfare Services Case Management System (CWS/CMS), the statewide case management system for child welfare services. SafeMeasures® is a case management tool for social workers and has provided instrumental support by assisting social workers to visualize and monitor compliance with the required referral investigation response time, reporting and timely contact visits, assessments and placement monitoring on child welfare cases. It is further used by Social Work Supervisors and Management to ensure compliance with the State and Federal Outcomes and Accountability measures as they relate to Child Welfare Cases. In addition, because of the CWS/CMS integration, the use Safe Measures® is included in the CWS/CMS System Improvement Plan and NCCD/SafeMeasures® is a sole source provider of this service.
The requested addendum will continue the current contract for another two (2) calendar years, January 2019 through December 2020. The cost is $6,300 per year for a total of $12,600. This contract is included in the HHSA budget and has no impact on the County General Fund.
