BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:
Using expiring Behavioral Health funding, the Board approved a contract with Hibser Yamauchi Architects on June 27, 2017 to perform conceptual design and cost estimating services. With the Board's approval of this project in the FY 18/19 CIP budget, this project is progressing and is ready for the next phase.
In order to continue designing the project, the architect needs to know which modular company to work with. These bid documents will be used to find the lowest responsive responsible bidder for the modular components of this building. Bids will be received in January and will come back to the Board for award in February. Once the modular component contract is awarded, the architect can continue with completing the construction documents. It is anticipated that bidding for the remainder of the project will occur in September 2019 with a target to complete construction of the project by June 2020.
Also on today's agenda is the contract to prepare the construction documents and perform construction administration services.
